Our Congregation

A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR CONGREGATION

The congregation of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament (SBSN), was Founded in 2004 by Sister Catherine Okechukwu, following in the footsteps of THE Blessed Clement Marchisio of Revlba-Italy. It is an Institute of apostolic religious life whose members take the three vows of: Obedience, Poverty, and Chastity. We are a diocesan congregation rights. Presently are based in Archdiocese of Onitsha, Nnewi Diocese, and Archdiocese of Abuja and in Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina.

CHARISM: The Charism of the congregation is the Eucharistic adoration and honoring Our Lord Jesus Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament.

APPOSTOLATE:
The apostolate are: we make Altar Bread, (Hosts) for Holy Masses, and the production of Sacred Vessels & Vestments (Albs, Chasubles, Surplices and Linens. We make Candles in our other communities. Take Care of the Elderly population (Sisters Aide Health Services Inc.) and Religious education.
The SBSN dedicate their lives in making Vestments (Chasubles, Albs, Surplices and other sacred linens). We work in the Hospitals, teaching Catechetical works (preparations for communion and confirmation). We promote and help young people realize their true Vocations in life. We also do some Domestic works. We take care of the sick elderly population and the poor people around us.

CHARITY:
As a Congregation needing material and spiritual support for the interest of the wellbeing of our members, we also take it as our responsibility to share what is given to us with the poor, the lonely and the abandoned, whom we work with on the daily bases.

RECRUITMENT OF NEW MEMBERS

We recruit young women of devout faith around the world and it might be you. Come and experience Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament with us. Come He is calling you today to follow close and you will have the light of life, way and in the truth.

DONATIONS:

We are a young Congregation needing support to maintain our congregational growth and to help us take care of the poor and the sick that we meet on the daily bases around us.
